Welcome to Mike’s Tackle House

My name is Mike Wilmoth, and my passion for fishing tackle began when my dad took me to my first bait shop at just four years old. I can still remember standing in those aisles, staring at all the different baits and imagining how each one could trick a bass. Over 40 years later, that same excitement still burns just as strong—and it’s what inspired me to launch Mike’s Tackle World.

As a competitive angler, I’ve always chased the next edge. That pursuit led me deep into the world of Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) tackle—a place where innovation, craftsmanship, and attention to detail are unmatched. It’s where ideas become breakthroughs, and where “good enough” is never good enough.

Through the friendships I’ve built and the companies I’ve partnered with, I’m proud to bring you not only the latest Japanese products and techniques, but also a community where anglers of all levels can learn, connect, and celebrate success—on and off the water.
